Summary
Previously in Pipeline Analytics you could only track outreach (sends & replies) as part of pipeline for a job if the prospect reached out to enter process. This means our customers struggled to understand all the sourcing activity that takes place for a job (e.g., how many people do you have to email to hire for one role?)
Now that we are able to associate sequence outreach with a job opening, it enables customers to:
- Visualize the complete funnel for a job, including the volume of sourcing activity that was required to fill historical roles
- Forecast more accurately the volume of outreach and sourcing they need to hit hiring targets
- Capture and report a more accurate analysis of source type attribution (e.g., how many referrals, inbound, sourced candidates it takes to fill one role)
What is the feature?
Ability to attach a job to a sequence to help connect that sequence’s outreach to the pipeline of that particular job.
Who is this feature available to?
Any customers on the following ATS:
- Greenhouse
- Lever
- Workday
- SmartRecruiters
- SuccessFactors
Who is our target audience for the feature?
Anyone who wants to track the full funnel of a particular job!
- sourcers and sourcing managers
- recruiters
- rec ops
- talent/recruiting managers/leaders
- talent events
Why did we build it?
Because customers want to quantify the impact of their outreach activity as it relates to hires made (e.g., how many sends or replies does it take for one hire, how many hires were attributed from sourcing activity, etc.)
Are there any known competitors who have this functionality?
This feature is adifferentiator forGem. There are no known competitors (not even Ashby) that can tie Gem outreach activity to jobs and visualize those analyses like Talent Compass does.
How do you access/get to the feature?
To attach a sequence to an ATS job (GH, Lever, WD, SR), go to the Configure page of a sequence & it will be on the left hand side. Start typing the name of the job in the text box to search for the job:

Once you have Gem sequences attached to Lever jobs:
- go into Pipeline Analytics
- click on “Gem Outreach” at the top dropdown
- click on “Group by: Job” underneath the funnel view

- Now you can see how many sends & replies can be attributed to a hire! In the below example, it took 514 messages sent & 37 replies to hire 1 person for the Software Engineer position:

Who can access the feature?
Anyone who has access to Pipeline Analytics/Talent Compass.
Limitations/Gotchas?
This feature doesn’t provide a more accurate prediction of whether outreach actually led to hires in certain edge cases (e.g. they were sourced for another job or referred as well as sourced).
