Summary
Summary of the product
In Outreach Stats (only FILTERS for dashboard widgets for outreach), you can now use Gem custom fields as a dimension for filtering, group bys, and breakdowns.
#newfeaturespost
You can now filter and group by Gem custom fields in Outreach Stats
- What is it? Gem custom fields can now be used as a dimension for filters, group bys, and breakdowns in Outreach Stats.
- What value does it bring to customers (problemsolved)?
- Ex: Group by custom URG vs. non-URG categories (Square, Dropbox)
- Ex: Filter by job type, “has VC connection”, etc.
- Greater configurability drives more powerful outreach insights
- Parity across more of Gem reporting
- Who is this live for/who is eligible? All Gem customers (Outreach Stats available to ALL Gem customers, even if you don’t pay for Talent Compass)
- Any known issues or limitations? Gem custom fields are available in Outreach Stats however, only FILTERS are available in outreach stat widgets in dashboards (grouping yet to come)
- Is there anywhere to go for more info/details (e.g.one-pager)? One-pager of Outreach related odds and ends
- How do you give feedback? #feedback
Sept 2023 Release - no more duplicate replies due to primary sequence designation

Summary
- Summary of the product: There was a long-standing bug where we were reporting duplicate response activities for people sequenced multiple times. Previously, when all other sequences sent to a person would automatically stop with a reply (desired behavior), we’d log it in activity as multiple responses (undesired behavior). We’ve now implemented a forward fix as of September 2023 to designate a primary sequence, and long 1 reply event. Activity for before September 2023 will reflect the old behavior and remain “uncorrect”. We have no plans to backfill at this time.
- Launch date: Sept 23’
- Category: Talent Compass
May 23’ Release - additional outreach type breakdowns supported

Summary
- Summary of the product: You can now breakdown Outreach by Outreach Type in Outreach Stats, and see meetings, LinkedIn messages, and calls (manual touchpoints) independently categorized. These were previously folded into “Other”.
- Launch date: May 23’
- Category: Talent Compass
Eligibility
All Gem customers. (No TC module restriction - Outreach Stats included for all Gem customers by default).
Why did we build it?
- Datadog (high priority customer) requested it, churn risk
- Manual touchpoints more common in larger ENT, non-tech companies
- Calls more common in APAC
Personas
- Primary: Sourcers, Sourcing Managers, RecOps
- Secondary: Anyone that cares about sourcing
Use Cases
- As a Sourcer, I want to know which channel is most effective.
- As a Sourcing Manager, I want to track how many Calls my sourcers are making, to credit their contribution / work, even if that prospect doesn’t convert into a candidate
Competition
None (that we know of!)?
