Overview
After you’ve created a Sequence, you can send it to candidates you’ve sourced.
There are a few ways you can send an email Sequence out:
- From the Gem extension (send to candidates individually.)
- From your Sequences page on Gem (send to candidates individually or in bulk.)
- From your Projects page on Gem (send to candidates individually or in bulk.)
From the Gem Extension
- Scroll to the bottom of the Gem extension and select the Message button.
- Search for and select your Sequence.
- Review your Sequence template in the preview window and send it once you’re ready.
From your Sequences Page on Gem
- Go to your Sequences page and select the Sequence you wish to send.
- Select the Add Recipients button.
- In the Add candidates individually section, enter the name of the candidate. If you wish to add candidates from one of your existing Gem Projects, look under Add candidates from a project and select it.
- Select the Next: Edit Stages button to preview your Sequence template and send it once you’re ready.
From your Projects Page on Gem
- Go to your Projects page and select the Project containing the candidates you wish to send your Sequence to.
- Select the candidates you wish to send this Sequence to.
- Select the Add to Sequence button and select the name of the Sequence.
- Select the Next: Edit Stages button to preview your Sequence template and send it once you’re ready.
Troubleshooting
“Couldn’t reach your email provider” error
If you see an error message when trying to send a Sequence which says that Gem “couldn’t reach your email provider”, this is typically a result of a temporary connectivity issue between Gem and your email service.
If this happens, wait a few minutes and try sending the Sequence again - this usually resolves the issue.
If the error persists, check that your email account is still connected in your Profile settings. If it is not connected, reconnect and try sending again.
If the issue continues after reconnecting your email account, please contact Gem Support.
