Overview
Prospect Scorecards help recruiters capture structured feedback for prospects they have spoken with before the prospect is officially in process for a specific job.
Use Prospect Scorecards to keep feedback consistent and easy to reference later.
Note: Prospect Scorecards aren’t connected to your ATS. You don’t need to use Gem ATS, or have an ATS sync enabled, to add and view Prospect Scorecards.
This article covers scorecards for prospects, not candidates. For steps to create candidate scorecards in Gem ATS, see Gem ATS: Complete a scorecard.
Requirements
- Your team must have Prospect Search enabled in Gem.
Create a new prospect scorecard
You can create a new prospect scorecard from a prospect profile in a specific Project in Gem or from the Gem Chrome extension.
From a prospect profile
- Select Projects under the People header in the main sidebar.
- Search, filter for, or scroll to the prospect you want to add a scorecard for.
- Select the prospect’s name from the list to open their prospect details page.
- Select the Activity feed tab if it’s not open by default.
- Select the Activity type dropdown, then select the Scorecard option.
- In the Add scorecard pop-up, select each field to add or update details. Required fields are indicated by an asterisk * next to the field name.
Field name | Description |
Attach to application | ‘No application selected’ is set by default. |
Interviewer | Your name is set by default. If you’re completing this scorecard on behalf of someone else, enter that team member’s name, then select them from the list of results. |
Use scorecard template | Optionally select one of your account’s scorecard templates. Options listed vary based on your Admin scorecard settings. For more information, see Gem ATS: Configure scorecard templates. |
Overall rating | This option reflects your final recommendation for the prospect. The options vary based on your Admin scorecard settings. |
Overall recommendation | This field allows you to provide written feedback about the prospect. |
Add private notes | You may optionally add private notes about this prospect. These notes are only visible to you, the hiring team for this job, and your Gem Admins. |
After you've completed all fields, select the Submit scorecard button. The scorecard is added to the activity feed for this prospect.
From the Gem Chrome extension
- From within the Gem Chrome extension, select the Log Activity option.
- Select the Type dropdown, then select Prospect Scorecard.
- Complete all fields listed on the scorecard. The options vary based on your Admin scorecard settings.
After you've completed all fields, select the Submit scorecard button. The scorecard is added to the activity feed for this prospect.
View prospect scorecards
You can view scorecards for any prospect from the Activity feed for that prospect.
