You can use scorecard templates in Gem ATS to standardize interview questions and evaluation criteria across roles. This ensures consistency in how candidates are assessed and reduces the time spent configuring scorecards for each new job.
Requirements
- Your team must use Gem ATS.
- Admin access to your Gem account.
Create a scorecard template
By default, each scorecard template includes the following two sections:
- Overall rating: This option reflects your final recommendation for the candidate. The options vary based on your Admin scorecard settings.
- Overall recommendation: This field allows you to provide written feedback about the candidate.
Complete the steps below to create a new scorecard template.
- Select the Templates option in the main sidebar under the Templates header.
- Select the Interviews & scheduling tab at the top.
- Select the Scorecards option on the left.
- Select the + New scorecard template button above the list of scorecard templates.
- Enter a name for this scorecard template in the Name field in the Template settings section.
- Select the + New question button to add a question to this scorecard template. In the section that appears, complete the following fields. Required fields are indicated by an asterisk * next to the field name.
Field | Description |
Question type | Select the question type from the dropdown. This sets the format of the question that the interviewer has to answer.If you select single-select or multi-select, field options appear where you can enter options for the field dropdown. |
*Question | The title of the question as it appears in the scorecard template. |
Description (optional) | Optionally enter a decription for this interview question. You can use this to provide additional context, such as why this question has been added, or an example response for this question. |
Required | Check this box to require users to complete this field before they can submit this scorecard. If this box is left unchecked, this question will be shown in the scorecard, but interviewers won't be required to answer. |
You can also select the + Questions from template library button to add a question that an Admin added to your question library. The options listed vary depending on your Admin scorecard question settings.
7. After you've added all of your custom questions, select the Publish button in the top right. The new scorecard template appears in the list of scorecard templates.
