Please use the following list to see additional internal articles regarding Gem Access Types & Permissions:

  • (Internal) Gem email permissions: Overview
  • (Internal) Gem <> Microsoft Graph API permissions
  • (Internal) Setting and updating a team's domain mail agent (πŸ“you are here)
  • (Internal) Process for setting up teams using an on-premise exchange server: Nylas

A new team’s domain mail agent can be set on the Support Dashboard under the Advanced tab. Please note, however, that this UI can only be used to set the initial mail agent.

To change an incorrectly assigned or existing mail agent, please file an on call ticket. Example ticket here.

For specific instructions on teams using an on-premise Exchange server: Nylas, please see: (Internal) Process for setting up teams using an on-premise exchange server: Nylas

Please note that Gem trials usually require O365 or Gmail accounts. Engineering can configure Nylas for some self-hosted email providers, but we reserve that for paying customers since that costs Gem money. When the Support team receives requests for this, they usually refer them to our Sales team to determine how likely they are to become paying customer.
