Whether or not Gem has to charge a customer taxes on their invoice depends on the address listed as their billing address in Salesforce. We only charge a customer for taxes if we have an obligation to pay taxes in that city/state/country, and this is based on how much revenue we generate from customers that are headquartered within that tax region. This is called a Tax Nexus. Following is a list of the locations in which Gem has a tax nexus, and the applicable tax rate that we will be quoting the customer on their Order Form.

It is important to note that the actual tax rate may differ as some cities/counties have their own tax rates, so we will always quote the maximum potential tax rate that will apply, and their actual invoice may reflect a lower tax rate depending on their exact address.
