You can use a Trainee pool in the same way as you would use an eligibility or tag when determining an interviewer pool.
When creating or editing a job, head to the Interview plan section and then scroll down to the Interviewers step. From here, simply add a second seat to any interview and include your Trainee pool as the interviewer. Just like with any other interview eligibility or tag, you can save this setup in your interview templates so that you don’t have to remember to add a trainee each time you schedule a candidate.
On the Schedule step, Gem Scheduling’s algorithm will select a trainee, taking into account their availability, working hours, interview limits, preferences, etc. When you are selecting a schedule option, you can easily swap out a trainee just like any other interviewer, and you’ll have full visibility into the training progress of all trainees in that pool.
Finally, when the trainee is scheduled, Gem Scheduling will identify them as a trainee on the schedule.
You can schedule additional training sessions, and Gem Scheduling will intelligently shift the program to fit the date order of interviews.
For example, imagine that you have a Shadow interview scheduled with a trainee. If you now schedule in another interview at an earlier date, the newly scheduled interview will automatically be set as the Shadow interview, while the originally scheduled interview will become their Reverse Shadow interview.
Likewise, if you cancel an upcoming schedule that includes a trainee, Gem Scheduling will shift the program back accordingly. Continuing with the example above, if the newly scheduled Shadow interview gets cancelled, the originally scheduled interview will revert to being the Shadow interview.
