All candidate data, regardless of the location of the Gem user or the home country of the candidate, is processed and stored in the United States. Our application servers and databases are both hosted with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the US-East region. There is currently no option to choose the EU/EEA as a data storage region.

Because data is never transferred across any international boundaries, we do not have a Transfer Impact Assessment that can be shared with customers or prospective customers.

Both Customers and Gem employees will have access to data. Our engineering teams, with customer consent, have access to customer data for troubleshooting purposes only (i.e if you submit a technical support ticket for an issue that requires our engineers to review your data as part of the investigation to resolve the problem).
