  • Given LinkedIn’srecent announcement on CRM Connect, customers may ask whether Gem plans on joining the program
    • Notable competitors and adjacent vendors such as Avature, Beamery, Clinch, Jobvite, and Radancy have been listed as initial partners

Thanks for bringing this up! I understand why seeing this announcement would naturally make you wonder why Gem wasn’t included in the initial list of partners.

First and foremost, I would like to assure you that the latest announcement from LinkedIn does not affect any existing Gem functionality , including how it works alongside LinkedIn. You can still source and message candidates on LinkedIn using Gem like you do today.

Regarding the partnership, CRM Connect is still early in development, and in its current state, it would limit some of Gem’s capabilities & services, such as email finding and data refresh. After careful consideration and review, our team concluded that this trade-off was not worth pursuing at this time.

The other providers who have partnered with LinkedIn today had to give up these essential capabilities, a compromise that wouldn’t make sense for our customers.

That said, we are in active conversations with LinkedIn as they continue to develop CRM Connect so that our potential future partnership will not negatively impact Gem’s services.

Our priority is to ensure Gem can effectively help you recruit great candidates faster. We’ll continue to invest in product development and partnerships where we see an opportunity to deliver on those priorities.
