Customer portal

Admin users can manage their subscription under Team settings, where you can activate the customer portal by clicking on ‘manage subscription’, or adjust the number of licenses purchased. The below are actions that can be taken when you click on ‘manage subscription’:

  • Change plan (Essentials vs. Professional)
  • Update payment method
  • Cancel trial / subscription
  • View past invoices

7-day trial

Your trial can be modified by an admin user under Team settings (bottom left profile, dropdown arrow). Unless your trial is cancelled, it will automatically continue into paid subscription on day 8. If you cancel your trial, your access to Gem will turn off on day 8 and you will not be charged subscription fee.

Update subscription

Admin users can add / remove license and cancel subscription under Team settings (bottom left profile, dropdown arrow) > Manage subscription.

You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder period of the current subscription month if you upgrade your subscription (e.g., add license, upgrade plan). Your product access will reflect the upgrade right away.

If you want to downsize the number of licenses purchased, but are fully utilizing all licenses purchased (number of users is equal to number of licenses purchased), you will need to de-provision users first. You can do so inTeam settings, My Team tab.

If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to Gem until the end of the subscription period.

Mix and match of license plans

For consistent product experience across your team, mix and match of license plans are disabled. All licenses on your subscription must be the same plan.

Payment methods

Credit cards are accepted. We are not able to accept cash, bank transfers, or checks.

Credit card issues

We are not able to resolve credit card issues, such as failed charges. We recommend contacting the card issuer.

Resume Gem access

If your Gem access is terminated, it’s because your trial / subscription has ended. If you wish to resume access, your admin user can log into Gem and resume the subscription

Advanced product modules

Teams under the staffing self-serve plan have access to Sourcing and CRM. Gem has additional modules, such as AI sourcing and ATS – we are happy to help you get started on these. Please contact sales@gem.com.

Additional email lookup credits

If you’ve used up your email lookup credits, you can buy more credits by buying more licenses through Team Settings. See update subscription section above for details on how to add licenses.

$1 Test charge during trial

Credit card payment processors may place a temporary $1 test charge upon signup of trial. This charge will be canceled within a few business days.

Have any issues or questions on this topic? Please feel free to contact your dedicated Gem Customer Success Manager directly or our Support team at support@gem.com.
