Overview
While sequences are designed so that only the owner can make specific changes, you can still share the messaging with teammates, allowing them to copy the stages and content into their own sequences.
Requirements
- Your Gem user role must have the Create sequences, view shared sequences permission.
Share a Sequence
By default, Sequences are usually set to Personal, which means that they’re visible to you and to anyone who has the link to them.
You can share (or un-share) a Sequence by selecting the Share option at the top right of the screen in your Sequence Report.
This gives you a few options:
- Email link: Enter the name of a user in your organization. When you select the Send button Gem will send that user an email with a link to your Sequence. The Sequence must be set to Personal or Shared for the link to work.
- Copy URL: Copy the link to your Sequence to the clipboard, from where you can paste it into a message to send to another user. The Sequence must be set to Personal or Shared for the link to work.
- Download CSV: Export a spreadsheet with one row per Sequence recipient, for the purpose of reporting and analysis outside of Gem.
- Share setttings: Choose whether you want your Sequence to be Confidential (only visible to you and Gem admins), Personal (visible to anyone on your team with the link), or Shared (visible to anyone on your team, and included in the ‘Shared Sequences’ section).
Clone a Sequence
Once they have the link, teammates can see your Sequence on their Sequences page by selecting Shared Sequences from the dropdown menu.
Note that your teammates will only be able to view the Sequence’s stages, and not the table of candidates the sequence was sent to.
To clone a Sequence, select it from the list of shared Sequences, then select the Clone to My Sequences button.
This takes you to the first step of the Create a Sequence process. From here you can edit the stages and configure the Sequence, then select Save to confirm your changes.
Cloning a Sequence makes a copy, so any changes you make to your original Sequence won’t affect your teammate’s copy, and vice-versa.
