Setting up Your Fountain Integration

Gem’s integration with Fountain allows you to:

• Upload candidates to Fountain from Gem. Fountain requires the following fields for upload:
1. Email
2. Phone number
3. Job (optional)
• Dupe check for already-existing candidate profiles in Fountain. We surface potential duplicates based on name and email.

To set up the Fountain integration, please reach out to support@gem.com to have the integration enabled. Once enabled, please complete the following:

1. Gather your team’s Fountain API Token. You will authenticate based on your company’s API keys. These are found in Fountain under Company Settings (top right flyout menu) → Developer Settings → API → Show API Keys.
2. Have the Private API key and Trusted Party API key on hand for later steps.

Once the above steps are complete, you are ready to turn on the integration.

1. Open up your Gem sidebar.
2. Click ‘Connect’, which will then display an authentication modal.
3. Enter the Private API key in the first screen, and the Trusted Party API key in the second screen.

Now you’re all set!
