One-off Messages

Overview

If you need to send a candidate a quick one-off message without the scheduling complexity of a Sequence, you can use one of these methods:

• One-off message - These are Email or Text Messages that you create from scratch.
• Canned Responses - These are Email or InMail templates that you’ve created and saved to be used at a later time.

Instructions

To send a one-off Email or Text Message

1. With a candidate open in Gem, click on the “More” button at the bottom of the Gem sidebar.
2. Select “Send a one-off message”. A message composer window will open.
3. Select between Email or Text Message at the top of the window and create your draft.
4. Click the Send button to send your message out.

To send a Canned Response (Gmail only)

1. Create and save an Email Canned Response template: Click Here
2. With a candidate open in Gem, click on the “More” button at the bottom of the sidebar.
3. Select “Send a Canned Response”.
4. At the top of the Gem sidebar, select the template that you wish to send.
5. Gem will take you to Gmail and automatically create a draft message using your template.
6. Click the Send button to send your message out.

To send a Canned Response (InMail)

1. Create and save an InMail Canned Response template: Click Here
2. With a candidate open in Gem, click on the “More” button at the bottom of the sidebar.
3. Select “Send a Canned Response”.
4. At the top of the Gem sidebar, select the response that you wish to send.
5. Your response will become available to copy in the Gem sidebar and you can paste the message into your InMail composer on LinkedIn to send it out.

Limitations

• One-off emails are not currently recorded in Outreach Stats
